High-potential Ethiopian companies were losing founder time to manual operations. UNDP needed a partner to assess each business and deploy systems that fit, not one-size-fits-all software.

Yaltopia Tech collaborated with UNDP to provide technology consulting and digital transformation support for over 40 high-potential companies: technology assessments, digital strategy, and customised ERP solutions designed, developed and deployed for each organisation.
Participating organisations automated manual processes, streamlined daily operations, improved data visibility and recovered significant administrative time, so founders and teams could focus on growth, innovation and job creation.
How we
did it
UNDP’s programme supported more than 40 high-potential Ethiopian companies. Many were growing fast but still ran on manual processes, which cost founders time they needed for the business. Each company was different, so a single off-the-shelf system would not fit, and the work had to meet the governance and reporting standards of a United Nations programme.

Our approach
Working with Innovative Finance Lab, we began each engagement with a technology assessment: a clear baseline of the company’s tools, gaps and priorities. From that we wrote a practical digital strategy sized to the company’s stage.
We then designed, built and deployed a customised ERP for each organisation, configuring inventory, sales, finance and HR modules to how that business actually works. Go-live support and training followed, so teams adopted the system instead of working around it, with clear documentation and handoffs for programme stakeholders.
The outcome
More than 40 companies received a tailored system. They automated manual processes, streamlined daily operations and gained better visibility of their data, recovering administrative time to focus on growth, innovation and job creation.
